Roblox (formerly known as DynaBlocks) is a worldwide multiplayer game creation platform supporting Windows. The main audience is children and teenagers.
Roblox gameplay
The prototype, namely the Roblox Studio constructor, was created in 2006 and has since gone through several re-releases. Its peculiarity is that any user can download the program to create their own game scenarios. That's why the lion's share of "worlds" - individual games that anyone can enter - are created by the players themselves.
Roblox is often compared to Minecraft, but the "clumsy" graphics with square characters limit the similarity. Unlike "Minecraft", where you can create something only if you have resources, Roblox allows you to create anything you want from ready-made elements - like a zoo, an amusement park or a magical forest.
Another difference is that all players, regardless of platform (whether Windows or Android) are on the same servers. There are no problems with connection: yes, there are many players, but there are also many individual "worlds", so it is often difficult to find a particular one.
Features of the platform
- Robux game currency. Used to buy premium items and create VIP servers with paid entry.
- Trading between players. One user can pass any item, except a premium item, to another user.
- Groups. One of the ways to organize teams, necessary for joint visits to servers (which is much more interesting than playing alone);
- Clothing. Despite the fact that there are few items (shirts, pants, and logos), any member of the Creators Club can put a hand in the creation of them, to then sell them for a nominal fee;
- In-game events. In order to promote the administrators of the new servers often give various small things to all visitors.
Despite the presence of Robax and VIP servers, you can play Roblox for free, without spending a ruble on donation. On the other hand, every user older than 13 years old can monetize the gameplay by earning 100,000 Robux (about $200) and cashing them out via PayPal.
