Halite helps make working with a peer-to-peer network called BitTorrent much easier. This version cannot yet compete with programs like uTorrent or Azureus. You can already try Halite in action just for its simple functionality.
The program allows even novice PC users to easily master the basics of downloading files. This version is based on open-source components, which are represented by libtorrent and libHTTP. The first component is needed to support the latest innovations in the protocol and the second to provide remote control functions via cell phones that have Java (from MIDP 1.0).
Halite features:
- simultaneous downloading of multiple jobs;
- setting rate limit for global and individual tasks;
- Outputting detailed information about each one;
- Use of IP filtering with compatible format as eMule ipfilter.dat;
- working without tracker thanks to DHT protocol;
- association with files in ".torrent" format;
- minimizing the program to the system panel with displaying of general status;
- prognostication of the end time of each task;
- option to reduce the number of program launches;
- nice interface with only useful buttons and menus;
- small distribution size.
Halite is ideal for getting the most out of the Internet.
