nVIDIA ForceWare is the official driver for GeForce graphics cards from nVIDIA. These drivers have WHQL certification.
This set of drivers for graphics video cards includes the GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300 and 400 series, as well as drivers for ION GPUs.
It is worth noting that some additions have been made to the nVIDIA ForceWare versions, viz:
- for GPUs belonging to the GeForce 400/500/600 series, with the help of the new official drivers, compared to the official WHQL-certified drivers for GeForce, a performance increase of up to 20% was noticed in some games. These results may depend on your GPU and system configuration settings.

- PhysX v 9.13.0604 software;
- HD Audio driver v 1.3.24.2;
- support for applications that were created using CUDA 5.5 or earlier versions of the CUDA Toolkit;
- OpenGL 4.3 support for GeForce 400-series and later GPUs;
- DisplayPort 1.2 support for the GeForce GTX 600 Series GPUs;
- Support for a large number of languages, as well as APIs for GPU computing: CUDA C++, CUDA C, Microsoft C++ AMP, DirectCompute CUDA Fortran and OpenCL;
- Support for single GPU as well as NVIDIA SLI* technology based on DirectX 9 and DirectX 10.
