Cat Simulator v.2.1.1

Cat Simulator is a pet simulation game for Android, in which taking on the role of an ordinary cat provides the basis for little adventures, exploring locations and amusing interactions with the objects around you. The game lets you observe the world from an unusual vantage point, complete tasks and have fun in free-roam mode, where strict objectives take a back seat.

Cat Simulator features

• The controls are centred on moving the cat through a 3D environment: the character can run, jump and explore accessible areas of the location.
• The environment is used for more than just a backdrop. The cat interacts with objects, explores rooms and finds things to do typical of a restless pet.
• Quests add structure to the gameplay: instead of aimless wandering, there are specific objectives linked to exploring the area and the character’s actions.
• Free-roam mode is ideal for short sessions. In this mode, you can move around the location without having to move straight on to the next objective.
• The cat’s animations and the perspective from the small animal’s point of view create a comical effect: familiar surroundings appear larger, and simple actions take on a playful significance.

Advantages of the game

• The unusual role of the main character sets Cat Simulator apart from standard mobile games: here, you don’t need to save the world or compete against rivals; you simply need to get used to being a cat.
• Intuitive controls make it easy to get to grips with the game on a touchscreen. Moving around and performing simple actions don’t require spending ages learning the rules.
• The freedom to explore makes the gameplay ideal for short sessions when you’re looking for a relaxing, interactive break without any complicated preparation.
• The 3D locations provide plenty of reasons to revisit them: it’s not just the tasks that are interesting, but also the attempts to reach places you haven’t explored before.

Drawbacks of the simulator

• Activities may start to feel repetitive once you’ve familiarised yourself with the main features: moving around familiar territory and carrying out similar actions quickly become routine.
• The open-world format won’t suit those expecting a rich story-driven campaign with constantly evolving events and complex decisions.
• The camera and character controls can sometimes take some getting used to, particularly when moving through confined spaces or trying to approach a specific object with precision.
• The comical portrayal of the cat sets the tone for the entire game, so Cat Simulator is designed more for light-hearted entertainment than for a realistic portrayal of a pet’s behaviour.
