Vuze is a BitTorrent file sharing application with many nice features. The Vuze client supports multi-uploads, queuing and prioritizing, the seeding process has start and resume options, and lots of useful information is provided about the torrents being downloaded.
Benefits of Vuze
Vuze is positioned as a client that can handle heavy downloads of gigabytes. The program's graphical interface will not baffle even the most novice users.
A decent number of different settings and functions will be very helpful for users who have long been friends of BitTorrent networks and are well aware of how they work.
Vuze features:
- Vuze is not particularly tracker dependent, thanks to the peer exchange and DHT technologies used in the program;
- on local networks the Vuze client works even better because it uses the NAT Port Mapping Protocol, UpnP, and NAT traversal technologies;
- new distributors are not long in coming, because the super-seeding mode will make them available;
- support for web seeding technology;
- Support for magnet links (P2P content links);
- Vuze can work via a so-called proxy server (protocol encryption capability);
- Unicode and IPv6 are supported;
- support for a large number of simultaneous downloads;
- download/download limits for each torrent individually or globally;
- adjustable disk cache;
- advanced seeding rules;
- All torrents use the same port;
- proxy can be used for communication and tracker;
- downloads resume quickly;
- customizable user interface in many languages (including English and Ukrainian).
Vuze features
- Vuze was developed in Java, so for correct work of the program you need Java-machine of the last version. Some Windows operating systems do not have a Java-machine, so the installer will ask you to download and install the missing component during the installation in the corresponding environments.
- During the first run, the Vuze installation wizard will pre-configure the network connection.
