Windows Vulnerability Scanner is designed to scan your Windows system for vulnerabilities. Check your system to make it even safer. The scanner is small in size and is a powerful product tool for detecting a variety of PC security problems.
The user is minimally involved in the process of finding vulnerabilities. Just run the executable file of the program and the vulnerability detection will start automatically.
Before the program offers to start scanning the user can have a look at general information about the system.
Once the scan has been completed, the tool displays a list of all the detected vulnerabilities of the system in a report. The information about the severity of each detected vulnerability can be found in the corresponding column of the list.
If the found threat is very dangerous, it will be marked as "Critical", medium level - "Important", the weakest and insignificant threat - as "Moderate". A superficial idea of the detected vulnerability, or security hole in the system, will give a brief description in the found string.
To go to the "patch" page on Microsoft's website, Microsoft Security Bulletin, you need to click on the link labeling one of the vulnerabilities. There you will also find a patch, which, when installed, will neutralize the hole in the system.
