Paint.NET is a raster-based image editor created using the .NET Framework, for Windows.
The program was created in the spring of 2004 by undergraduate students as a computer science project. By May of 2006 the editor had been downloaded about 2 million times. Work on Paint.NET is now ongoing with two Microsoft employees who worked on the program during their studies at Washington State University.
Paint.NET can replace the standard image editors in Windows.
The main advantages of Paint.NET
