Calibre is an application for convenient management of your library of books in electronic form with possibility of storage on your personal computer.
The main purpose of this program is to manage and catalog books in electronic format, as well as converting e-books into other formats, converting news feeds into e-book format and, of course, synchronizing with reader software.
Features and functions of Calibre
- The presence of a function to manage the library itself. Calibre is designed to perform e-book cataloging. It allows you to store e-books in its database together with easily modifiable metadata that allows you to describe each book. In addition, one metadata record can be used for the same eBook in different formats.
- The application supports sorting eBooks in its database. The program sorts by such data as author of the book, date, publisher, rating and file size of the book. It also supports additional metadata fields, such as the series the eBook belongs to, additional comments used to describe the content of the eBook, and tags to classify books.
- The application also has a metadata search function. Here you will be able to use the advanced book search by available metadata after clicking on the "Advanced Search" button, which is located on the left side of the search bar.
- It has the ability to convert a huge number of files. To convert a book, click on the "Convert e-books" button.
