CrystalDiskMark is a Windows utility that benchmarks the performance of hard drives installed in your computer. It shows read/write speeds, calculates averages and gives performance ratings.
CrystalDiskMark features
- Select the hard disk drive to be tested;
- choice of text file size to be used for testing (50-1000 MB) and number of runs (1-9);
- several test options.
Utility features
In order to calculate the write and read speed of a hard drive, you should select the data to be tested, i.e. the type of data to be copied. The utility fills it with random characters. The accuracy of the result depends on the test type and the number of passes. The more passes - the more accurate the result, but the longer the test will be. You can select one of the four available tests or run them all at once. The result is also influenced by the correct connection of the devices. For example, the fastest hard drives should be connected to sockets that provide maximum speed.
The advantages of
- Easy operation and setup;
- the ability to change the design theme;
- fine-tuning of the tests;
- clear and understandable presentation of test results.
