R.saver is a free utility, which is a stripped-down version of the serious, but paid product UFS Explorer Recovery. Despite its somewhat lighter functionality, it can handle such tasks with honor:
- File recovery after standard deletion;
- File recovery after a quick formatting;
- Data file recovery after an overwritten header table in the file system and erasing individual memory locations on the disk.
R.saver features
Works with both NTFS and FAT file systems, offering the user a pleasant, intuitive interface with detailed information on each of the disks on the computer being tested. It can be manually configured if any partition is not automatically detected.
How to work with the program
The program scans disk space or selected partitions.
As a result, you will see the following information on the right side of the screen:
- "Reconstruction Result" folder - the file system modeled based on the data obtained during the scan;
- The "Deleted files" folder - with a list of deleted files;
- Damaged files" folder - data with damaged structure";
- Folder "Found by type" - results of scanning by signature.
The utility allows you to preview the data before recovery and save the scan results. The desired data can be saved by selecting the appropriate item from the context menu. It is strongly recommended to restore to a different disk drive.
Differences from the extended version
R.saver does not understand RAID arrays and works only on a local PC. Otherwise, it fully copies the capabilities of the paid product and more than fully meets the needs of home users.
