Nexus Mod Manager is a symbiosis of an installer, launcher and modification manager for Windows computer games. It can find supported games installed on your PC and automatically install selected modifications for these games from the Nexus web portal. Can create a special "independent" repository of modifications, and integrate their "virtual" copies into the games, thereby simplifying the removal of conflicting and "problem" mods.
Automatically sorts and categorizes downloaded mods. It has a flexibly configurable system for differentiating mods according to characteristics specified by users (texture, sound, global, etc.). Automatically finds updates for modifications and marks them in the interface. Supports synchronization with specialized utilities for specific games (SKSE, FNIS, "WOT Olenemeter" etc.).
Nexus Mod Manager functionality
- Creates in the system service directories and presets settings according to user preferences specified during installation;
- Scans the system and finds installed games from the list of supported games, offers to run the interface with presets for the selected game;
- Analyzes the directory structure of the game loads already existing mods into the "import interface";
- Suggests either creating a "virtual directory" for safe installation, or installing mods "directly into the game";
- Automatically categorizes the "modding tree" for a particular game according to the preset method chosen by the user;
- Loads the appropriate mod, when you click "load" on the Nexus site into a virtual directory/folder with the game, initiates the mod in the game when "importing";
- Automatically "transfers" the mod during the import process to the appropriate section of the "modification tree";
- Determines the compatibility of an installed modification and marks "problem spots" in the interface;
- Synchronizes with the specialized utilities for the selected game.

Disadvantages
