DuckCapture is a program with which you can take screenshots of the entire screen or a selected area, window, or object (using auto-scrolling). The screenshots you take can be saved in formats such as .PNG, .BMP, or .JPG with different degrees of compression.
This application also has a tool that allows you to add annotations to your pictures.
The program supports hotkeys and a variety of templates for automatically assigning file names.
DuckCapture features
When all the work with the image file is done, you can copy the resulting image to the clipboard and paste it into a text or image editor, such as Microsoft Word.
The functionality of the application can also be extended with scripts, for example, for using e-mail or for uploading via FTP.
DuckCapture has four capture modes in its arsenal: window capture, screen area capture, scrolling screen capture, or full screen capture. To capture a screen area, you need to draw the necessary frame on the screen and capture everything inside that frame. The selected area can be either rectangular or arbitrarily shaped.
In case the desired web page does not fit on the display, DuckCapture allows you to automatically scroll through the web page or window, so it takes a full screen shot.
This application has a large number of tools for both editing and annotating.
After creating a copy of the screen, you can immediately start editing the resulting image: make comments, draw arrows, and more.
