AkelPad is a resource-intensive, very convenient and fast text editor. The editor can work with documents both in single-window editing mode and in multi-window mode. Supports Unicode on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 operating systems and Unicode code files.
The program can even edit read-only protected files (with a read-only option) and can show their contents immediately before opening.
AkelPad also has a multi-level rollback methodology, a list of the most recently opened files, saving an encrypted table for the file and the location of the "insert" sign in the final replacement/retrieval line. The program supports printing and add-on modules.
