Lotus Symphony is an office suite based on OpenOffice.org technology that also supports OpenDocument (ODF) standards. With this package, the user is able not only to create text documents, spreadsheets and presentations, but also to make changes to them. The package also has its own browser, based on the IE engine from Microsoft.
Lotus Symphony is considered to be an alternative to well-known Microsoft Office programs, and may very well compete with such a package as OpenOffice.org.
